No diagram/intallation instructions came with the card, when viewing the card there are no indications as to where and how the CD audio feed in is connected. Although there is only one probable connection, before connecting I don't want to damage anything by reversing the cd. As I said pins are not maked or numbered, anyone out there have a diagram/rough drawing or explanation?

If this is just the audio cable that goes to the sound card from the cdrom.
You should have 2 sets of 4 pins on the card.
You will use one or the other of the two.
The smaller set of pins are marked RGGL, The RED wire should be on the "R"
The larger set of pins should be marked with a #1, on the card itself. RED wire goes to pin 1.
If you happen to reverse the wires, it won't damage anything. You just will either get no sound while playing a cd or it will just be a lower volume.
