I have had to reinstall my harddrive in the last two weeks, and windows is not recognizing my sound card. I need to know where to go, and how to download a driver so that my sound card will work again. Can anyone help me out?

If the sound card was working before but Windows doesn't recognise it, drivers must have been originally installed from somewhere. You don't have driver disks or CD for the computer hidden in a drawer somewhere do you?
If not you will have to look in the computer and find out what sound card you have, and look on the manufacturer's website for drivers to download.
The sound "card" may be a chip on the computer's mainboard, in this case you will need to find out the make and model of the board, and get drivers from the mainboard manufacturers site.
When you find out what manufacturer you need, scroll down to the bottom of the WinDrivers home page, and click on Driver Search. There you can choose the first letter of the manufacturers name, and you will see a comprehensive list of manufacturers. It would be surprising if what you need is not there.
