Please help :) I need the driver for win2k sound Max card for my gateway solo 1100

Hi there, I have a gateway solo 1100 notebook and I installed windows 2000 professional. The gateway site only has drivers for win95/98 I called them and they said they didn't have any drivers for win2k. :(
I did find out that the soundcard is made by Analog Devices using the 1881 chipset and it is called "soundmax integrated digital audio" If anyone can help me find a driver that will work I would be so gratefull.

You can maybe try this. This is link to Compaq with W2K drivers for ADI Soundmax Integrated Digital Audio. Let us know if it works!

Thanks for the reply, I downloaded the file and attemped to install it and no luck, I tried installing them manually and letting windows install the drivers with the setup program, both were unsuccessful.

I got it to work. Thank you sooooo much.
I REALLY appreciate it. For some odd reason it wouldn't use the driver until I clicked on the "have disk" button and pointed it to the folder with the drivers you found for me. When I checked the box to "specify a location" and pointed it to the folder with the drivers it wouldn't work.
Crazy huh. Boy am I happy.
