Ok here is the problem. I just today fdisked my computer by mistake (dont ask). Then after re-installing everything I could not get my sound card in. I have a PC100 motherboard with an onboard sound card and I have no idea what type it is. No Clue!!! Anyway this is what it says on the chip- PC100
HT5595 - SiS '97
PID4803AE
9845CQ

And this is what it says in the motherboard book -
Onboard 3D Sound Pro meets PC98' SPEC and supports HRTF Postional Audio, Direct Sound 3D with Aureal 3D driver, Software Wave-table Synthesizer, and Digital Audio interface (SPDIF) IN/OUT.

Now I know my way around computers but I am lost on this one. All the disks that I got when I bought the computer, windows said that there were no drivers for the sound card on them, so for the last 2 hours I have been here looking for drivers to get this peice of sh*t working. Only thing I get is -

CM18330/C3D Audio Adapter

when I usse Add New hardware but it cant find the drivers. Can someone out there with more experience then me help. PLEASE!!!!!

Just either post or email me at DipNfall@aol.com with any and all suggestions or answers

Have you looked on the Sis website. Check out www.sis.com.tw/products/products.htm..by the way you didn't mention who the manufacturer of your motherboard is. The drivers for the built in sound should be on the disk/cd provided with the board.

mzcpu is right - you should be able to find the drivers on the CD that came with your motherboard. If you still can't find them, you can download them from C-Media here:

<a href="http://www.cmedia.com.tw/e_dload1.htm">http://www.cmedia.com.tw/e_dload1.htm</a>

Your chip is the C-Media CMI8330. It is a very common sound chip used on motherboards with on-board audio.
