I recently reformatted my hard drive and found out I now have no sound.I checked all devices and drivers and windows says evrything is ok.I went to Packard Bell site and downloaded the driver and installed it and it worked for a day and quit again.I tried reloading the driver again and it didn't work this time.I have a Packard Bell Synera, the sound card is on the motherboard.Any help with this would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Doug Wickham

try going in in safe mode and removing all the sound stuff from device manager, also remove anything that is sound related that might be in "other devices" (while you are there, look in other catergories too just in case, such as display, monitor, disks for duplicates\wrong devices and remove them too), then restart, it should ask for drivers or redetect them itself.
If that doesn't work try taking the card physically out of pc, restart with no card, go into windows, shutdown then put card back in and restart again.
