I have no sound, and I see the message "Primary Codec Error" directly below my sound card information. I am using a Diamond Sonic Sound Card, and I have removed it and reinstalled it many times to no avail. Please help!

Could we have more details?
What windows version?
Did you remove the drivers in safe mode?
Did you try changing the slot the card was in?
Have you got the latest driver for it?
Thanks ;)

Make sure the start up files are configuerd properly check that the drivers are loaded Autoexec.bat. Config.sys. as NooToo says try safe mode to see if the problem is in the above files.
check speakers next.(cables, wires etc...)
check master volume control is turned up on the sound board.
check IRQ,s I/O , DMA settings in device manager, see if there are any conflicts with another resource
Check to see if the card is compatable for the board.
Is it an old board?
