SB Live Sound Delay

I have a SB Live Value sound card. This problem I am having started a couple of months ago and I cannot figure out what is causing it: In some games (NFS3 and LinkLS99 for instance)that use DirectSound the sound effects are delayed from the on screen action by about a second.
This only happens in some games. The sound card works perfectly elsewhere. Any ideas as to what is causing the 1 or 2 second delay????

Hi.
Why don't you try downlading LiveWare 2.0.
People who had several problems in the past, have found the solution in it.
If you want to give it a try, download it from a mirror site, cause Creative Labs is very low speeded.

which version of Direct X do you have installed???? & which CPU

I had already downloaded Liveware 2.0 and still had the same problem. I am using DirectX 6.1, P2 350MHz, 128MB RAM, 12MB CL Voodoo 2. Thanks for the replies.
