Can anyone HELP ME. I'm trying to install the drivers for myvideo card and I keep getting resource conflicts "Memory Range DE000000 - DEFFFFFF used by:
VIA Tech CPU to AGP Controller
Memory Range DFE80000 - DFEFFFFF used by:
VIA Tech CPU to AGP Controller"
THe drivers are the latest version. Does anyone have an idea of whats happening and how i can fix it.

the only idea that i have is to manually configure the settings, it may even have some more presets, try untill you find one that says no conflicts

Sounds like you are using Windows 95 and Win95 is picking the AGP slot up as a PCI slot. If this is the case then it is normal and there is nothing to worry about as Win95 does not recognise AGP slots as AGP slots. Also with the i740 chipset if I remeber correctly there are a lot of problems with non-Intel chipsets due to Intel building the chipset with it's own in mind.

Hi there ! I think i've got your solution !
I owned an i740 a while back and i enjoyed every little bit of it :^)
The really annoying particularity with the i740 is that you have to use the right drivers for the right BIOS.
(http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/intel740/) This is where you should start.
That page once had a nice windows showing wich video BIOS was compatible with what driver, they seem to have thrown it away...
Bottom line is, you should use
PV40_9x (these are the generic Intel and best drivers)
AND
BIOS release V 239 (the latest)
For some reason, the i740 was made so any manufacturer was able to use wichever hardware it tought adequate... wich leads to different FLASHING programs for different boards...
If the VB239 (BIOS) file doesn't contain the right flashing utility, you may look on your Video Card manufacturer web site, or ask me , i'm sure if i look hard enough on my backup CD's, i could be able to find the flashing utility I downloaded when i had the bizarre "memore conflict" problem under 9x :^)
I really hope i could help !

Supplemental note :
If for whatever reason you aren't able to flash your BIOS because :
1 - You can't fin the right FLASH program : Then the URL i Gave you above contains every version of intel's drivers, there is bound to be one that works with your card
2 - Your video card's BIOS isn't flashable : They tought of everything !, with a little research, you can find a 239 BIOS TSR (That's right, a small dos driver wich makes your card 239-compatible)
The best ressources for the i740 used to be :
http://www.n3dt.com/drivers/main.html
http://ww1.i740.8m.com/drivers.html
They make reference to i740's sizzling drivers, these are cutom-programmed drivers for games, i doubt they'd be 101% compatible, but i used to use them :^)
I'm sure That helped !
