I've read through these forums and many have mentioned that the only way to downgrade directx is to reformat and reload the O/S. IS THIS TRUE?!?! ?! http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum/smilies/cwm31.gif Aren't there programs that can do this without having to reformat? I thought there were. If there are, does anyone know where I (and others I've read here that need the same thing done) can get ahold of one of these life savers?!??! http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum/smilies/cwm3.gif http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum/smilies/cwm3.gif

YOu can also install older version of Direct X just by deleting the files of the current directx (can see them in dxinfo), and run the older directx installation... The good thing about this is, you could just replace the files that give you problems... Anyway use that for last resort... Good luck and have fun... Cya...
