If you don't care about capturing in Stereo, you can use Pinnacle PCTV PCI. It's a very good one but unfortunately it works in Mono only.

Now that ASUS have released good drivers, I highly recommend the Asus 7700 Deluxe GeForce 2 GTS which features Video capture functionality, which works very well. It also comes with some nice software too.

I was looking at the Dazzle DVC II, but they claim that it doesn't work with the Athlon. I was also wondering if the capture type (Mpeg, Mpeg2...) was software or hardware dependent & what software is ideal? Any other ideas?
