Usually monitor manufacturers only release one INF file (or driver) as the specs of the monitor don't change once it has been manufactured.
The only thing with some mfgr INF files is that they don't allow you to use the full refresh rate capabilities of your monitor (Viewsonic is bad for this), so check your monitor manual to make sure you're getting the maximum refresh rate your monitor allows.

Mac is right on about the refresh rates but the manufacturer isn't the only guilty party in this quagmire as Microsoft will also limit refresh rates even if a monitor is detected properly. For instance a Compaq 171FS 17 inch display is rated at 60 hz refresh rate max by the INF at 1024X768 by both manufacturer and Microsoft but in reality the monitor will do 1024X768 at 70hz easily with just a click of the mouse and a few adjustments to the monitor itself. The best a monitor can perform rateings wise is not always the best it can do in real time. Right now my Compaq 171FS is running at 1280X768 at 60hz with no problems at all.
