is there any way to rebuild the file structure of a drive from the FAT? a friend turned on their computer and the file system began to self destruct...i have no idea why. now all the files are cross-linked...its a mess. it was fine one minute...the next all hell broke loose. i know i am grasping at straws...but 3 years work is down the tubes. Norton Disk Doctor was run on the drive and now there are thousands of DIR000 folders and thousands of .chk and ._dd files.
