Welcome to WinDrivers.
I am not sure what exactly you mean, but when you open a folder and right click a file those options come up in a mini-screen.
Is that what you meant?
I'm talking about the panel on the left in each folder(show common task in all folders) but that panel is not there, how do i get it back
Windows Explorer, Tools, Folder Options and switch from Classic to 'Show Common tasks in Folders'
Did that but its still not changing
When you click a folder, then click the 'x' in the file folder listing at the left mini-window - then your options appear.
That don't even work. i found out by searching a little, that changing window scheme back to default it comes back, i have vista theme loaded, thanks for the help
Don't have any experience with Vista myself - good that you are getting some though! Yourb post was in the XP area so I thought........ gee, this person uses XP.
lol
Thanks for the update and everything.
Thanks, i do use XP home, just a vista theme, not the operating system
Well, I still have no idea what that is - an overlay from a Beta OS to an issued OS I guess.
LOL - Beta's are bad enuf without mixing their parts with working models.
Anyway, you should have LOTS of experience when VISTA is finished.
There are various Windows Vista themes for XP that are basically just XP display shells that have a Vista look, ie. desktop, control panel, icons, etc. The Vista Conversion Pack 3 I downloaded from Techconnect.com even comes with a glass feature that loads at startup (so much for DirectX 9 not being capable of handling that particular display feature). If that is the Vista theme you are using, goto Start/Control Panel/Display click on the appearance tab and then the 'windows and buttons' dropdown panel and select an alternative Vista theme, the original XP theme or Classic Windows. Different Vista themes have different handling of the common folder tasks panel.
