THAT was truly something special. A worthy comeback from a curse, wouldn't you say?
Pay me 500,000, I'll teach Mariano Rivera how to throw a curve ball, a slider, and a chage up. If he doesn't learn, the only thing he'll be closing next year is his suitcase, on his way to Equator baseball....https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gifhttps://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif
My name is George Steinbrenner, and I approved this message......https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif

The curse is not winning the world series. This was the greatest comeback ever in baseball, but it still doesn't break the curse. I thought they were gonna blow it when they brought Pedro in for absolutely no reason.
We know that man!!!https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif
Why did you have to go an break the spell???https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif
You are right though, and usually I will root for the team that beat my team: IOW, the Astros. Well, sorry, not THIS year.
I will root for the Red Sox though. https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2006/04/1.gif
I think they brought him in to hit a few batters. Insult on top of injury. Or, the other way around.https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gifQuote:

He should have come in to bean Sheffield in the head.
I couldn't understand why Francona put Pedro in after Lowe had only one hit in seven innings- he allowed 2 doubles and 2 runs- I was like WTF????
But, after Damon redeemed himself with that grand slam, there was no stopping the bleeding.
Oh and BTW-

Same here...along with the fact that he stayed in Beantown for game 6 instead of being with the team. He's a has been.Quote:

Yankee Stadium was awful quiet after the second inning. It came alive for one last gasp during the seventh, but Bellhorn changed all that in the eighth. That's when tha stadium began to empty out.
