In device manager, does it say the device is installed and working properly or does it have a ! or ? next to it?
A couple of usually relaible sources tell me this driver works for XP, but I haven't used it personally.

On the top right hand side of the sound card there is a number that starts CT or SB - can you post all the numbers and letters?
