Hello, I was looking for the drivers for my RTL8201CL realtek 10/100m ethernet adapter. I have and Hp m1160n with an Asus K8s-la. The problem is I have vista installed and i don't wish to switch to xp.
Welcome to Windrivers! Per Realtek's site:
# Q9: Why don't I find RTL8201x driver on the website?
A9:
RTL8201, RTL8201BL, RTL8201CL, RTL8201CP, RTL8201N and RTL8211B(L) are all PHYceiver. That is a driverless hardware device. Software driver are relative to Network controller ( MAC ) which is integrated into chipset in such case mostly. Please contact your mother board maker or chipset manufacturer to obtain proper driver support.
Since, I don't know of any manufacturer offering Vista support for your chipset, I think you're in the market for a new NIC.
Quite often Vista will accept XP drivers if you use device manage, click update driver and then browse to the extracted driver files. Sometimes you can use application compatibility to install them too...right click on the setup file and cick on compatibility, then set it for xp sp2 and run as adminstrator. Then apply and close the properties, now double click the file and cross your fingers.
So... I have a asus k8s-la (salmon) mobo and just installed windows 7 on it, x86 professional. Everything works good... except the two realtek devices. One of these is the seemingly notorious rtl8201cl phy ethernet device. I assumed I needed to get the SiS drivers, but when I tried to run the install on it, it gives me "no sis191/190 network devices" error. Am I wrong to assume I need the SiS chipset drivers, or is something else tripping me up? Thanks in advance.
From the SiS site: http://www.sis.com/download/download....php?id=155946
"SiS191/190 Glan logo driver package
File Name sgl207.zip
Version v 2.07
Release Date 2008-10-02
Support Products
File Size 5,066KB
Support OS Windows Server 2003 , Windows 98 , Windows XP , Windows 2000 , Windows ME , Windows Vista Basic/Premium , Windows Server 2003 64-Bit Version , Windows XP 64-Bit Edition ,"
They obviously have updated the originals a number of times to get to Rev. 2.07.
The liklihood of getting 2.08 to add W7 is probably low.
You might be better off looking for a W7 NIC add-in card. (although I note that the supported OS's end with an apostraphe!)
*sigh* Figured that'd be the case. Those were the drivers I tried to install last night that wouldn't work. Guess it might be time to do some newegg shopping...
RTL8201 dos drivers for an xp pro advent 4211 notebook
My research finds that the 4211 Advent is essentially an MSI Wind with the N270 cpu, model U120 or U120H.
Compare your specs with that and if satisfied the drivers are here (be sure to scroll down half a page);

I need Realtek PHY RTL8201CL driver. I have ALiveNF6G-VSTA motherboard...
I am also looking for the rtl8201cl driver, for a 939GT3-PTD-LF REV 1.0 motherboard, i believe it is jetway from what i have found online.
iDLT - there's a good chance that driver is part of the Asrock Nvidia chipset all-in-one package; http://www.asrock.com/mb/download.as...NF6G-VSTA&o=XP
macuser - confirm this IS your mobo then the downloads are there; http://www.jetway.com.tw/jw/motherbo...ame=939GT3-PTD
Hi! Did install W7 today on my brother's computer, but cannot access to network anymore (drivers missing for Realtek RTL8201 CL). Mobo is Asus K8U-X.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Martin
Moodz: you are going to have to try the Vista drivers for that chipset from here - http://www.nvidia.com/page/uli_drivers.html .
ULI hasn't produced a W7 set (and is unlikely to).
