Hello All thanks for having me here.
My DVD burner has not been reading DVD movies and Blank DVDs since iv upgraded to windows xp pro.The DVD-+R -+Rw drive shows up 2 times with my Nero 6 one says DVD the other says CD-RW i have an old DVD RW that iv also hooked back up and it will read a DVD movie but will not read a Blank DVD it as well also shows up 2 times and says DVD on one and CD-R on the other if anyone can help a Big Thank you to ya

This sounds like 'class filter driver' issues to me again too (especially as we've been upgrading) .. most likely fix will be zapping the appropriate reg key (already linked above :thumbs: ) & uninstalling /re-installing all 'burning type' software, testing after each one, (includes virtual drives & authoring packages) chucking in deleting the devices from device manager in safe mode first for good measure :).. & I'd get one writer going on its own before trying both.
