Who's your Daddy?????
The curse lives on. Just giving Boston fans a little longer to hold on to a dream, before it is snatched from them in game 7. Just like teasing a child with candy.
the umpires all from boston in this game?
No, just because they caught A-Rod cheating does not mean that they were biased.Quote:

Has their ever been a worse right fielder than Gary Sheffield? The guy can barely catch a simple fly ball.
I hope the Yanks win game seven and then get swept in the world series by Houston.
Let the Curse of the Bambino end this year.
Go Reds.
Sox. The Reds are in Cincinnati.Quote:

Well maybe the Doc should have used staples, because they kept showing his ankle on tv, and the blood stained sock. They kept saying what a man he was, blah, blah. Look on any NFL field, you'll see people playing with broken bones, concussions, torn muscles, etc.
For that kind of money, I'd pitch from intensive care..https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif
Different sport different standards. I'm not comparing Schilling to Ronnie Lot or Marvin Hagler, but I don't know too many players in Major League baseball who would risk their career and do this. He already has a ring, he has nothing to prove.Quote:

Personally, I can't stand Steinbrenner and the Damn Yankees. And, I do hope that the Bosox kick arse in game seven, and they meet Houston. Of course, Fox would prefer the Yanks v St Louis.
btw:
The umps were on the money with every call. How can anyone think otherwise with all the replays? So geeks, would you have preferred NY umps that may have given teh Yanks more of an advantage then they already have in this unbalanced era of baseball?
easy big fella...just stirrin the pot...i personally dont watch pro basebal... ;)Quote:

I think that the Sox will make it to the series, and have to face Roger Clemens in Game 7. I think him throwing a no hitter would be the ultimate sign that the curse is real!
Houston rich in baseball history? HUH??? Oh, you must mean the Colt 45's. Even them playing the Braves had them put in the "don't watch" afternoon slot. It's all about the Yanks and Boston. And, yeah, last year da Cubs. Just check the extra inning game the other night. You barely knew what was happening with the Cards/'stros game until the Yank game was over, which meant we got to see the end of the "other" game.Quote:

Yeah, I think Stockbrenner is bad for baseball and baseball needs a salary cap like the other sports before it gets any worse.
Yeah? Well we have another curse round here. The curse of New Hampshire International Speedway, so how's about you just stay where you are and mind your own business. :devil:Quote:

Damn, that is soo good. I rarely use the word "hate". But I really hate the Damn Yankees. https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif
Well, not really hate. But, truly dislike a whole lot. https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif
You hate em? You don't have to deal with the damned Yankees fans that come down here to watch spring training. I hear one more damned New Yorker tell me how great New York is, I'm gonna lose it.Quote:

Well, 40 air miles away in NJ. So, everyone you see at those games are either from northeast NJ, southern NY, Long Island, and sometimes SW Connecticut. What they call up there the Tri-State region.
And yeah Tekkie, Torre will get fired, and stockbrenner will spend another 50 million to bring in more talent to make sure they win it next year.
As a long suffering Orioles fan and Yankee hater I am doing baby circles here in Eagle River! https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif

Hey, that might be what I'm doing, too. https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif
I'll tell ya something: I feel almost as good right now as I would feel if the Braves had just beat them. https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2006/04/1.gif
Truly an incredible accomplishment for the Red Sox.
NL game 7 is going to be incredible as well!

Yankees Suck
I think that the curse is B.S. and is in people's heads only. If Clemens throws a no-no in game 7 of the World Series, then I will think the curse is real. I do now hopw the Sox win, so that the curse crap can be done with. I am just worried about the death rate going up in New England, since people have been saying for years they could die if the Red Sox won the World Series! :grin:Quote:

Houston still has to win first
October 21, 2004 -- The Yankees last night completed the worst collapse in postseason baseball history when they got clobbered by the hated Boston Red Sox in Game 7 of an American League Championship Series they once led 3-0.
It's the first time in baseball — and only the third time in any major sport — that a team holding a 3-0 lead in a best-of-seven series choked.
The final score was 10-3. Humiliating, embarrassing, humbling.
"I feel like a 6-year-old who just watched his dog get hit by a car," said Paul Avvento, 19, from Wantagh, L.I., who watched the debacle last night at the Stadium.
"Everything I've always known to be right has been proven wrong."

Did anyone else notice that Crankee Stadium was emptying out in the 8th.... Bunch of fair weather fans. At least WE stay till the end of the game when the Sox blow it. But not Yankees fans. nope.
:butt: :butt: :butt:
People have a tendancy to die there.Quote:

How would you like to be a fly on the wall in Steinbrenners office this morning?
Go Cards.
Speaking of Steinbrenner, How come there were no shots of him during the game? There were plenty of John Henry.
