Strange, my sons 9 key don't work on his keyboard but it does work on my pc. He has another keyboard too and it doesn't work either. Something seems to be keeping it from working. It does work on the 10 key however. Win 7 OS. Any ideas?

Does it work in the CMOS/BIOS Setup? (Try it in the Date or Time fields). If no, try resetting the CMOS back to factory defaults and try it again. (Note: Take a quick pic of each CMOS/BIOS screen before you do so you can restore your current settings).
If the "9" does work in the CMOS/BIOS Setup, does it work while running Windows Safe mode? If so, there may be a problem/conflict with a program that is running in normal mode that is not running in Safe mode.
Until ya'll get it figured out though, you should be able to get a 9 to appear by: while holding down the [Alt] key, type 57 on the numeric keypad (not the keys at the top of the keyboard) and then release the [Alt] key.
Got it, he had a program on his pc that somehow blocked it out. Thanks for the input.
Good to hear the problem's been resolved. Thanks for letting us know. :)
