Asus K7M & Lexmark Z51 via USB and 98SE
I have several USB devices attached to my Asus K7M MB and running 98SE. I don't have any device conflicts (but IRQ 9 is shared with both USB ports and the MX300 sound card). I have a Cherry USB Keyboard w/4 port USB hub and Altec Lansing ADA-305 USB speakers and a Logitech USB Wheelmouse attached to the keyboard (working fine). On the other USB port on the MB, I put the Lexmark Z51. I can't get the printer to work it seems to start printing, but it stops as soon as the paper is fed. I have applied the MS Fix for USB and AMD/VIA Chipsets. I also have a Creative WebCam II USB which works find if I unplug the Z51 and plug in the cam (it detects the changes fine). This all used to work fine with my Abit BX6-R2 motherboard. Is this a Asus Motherboard problem with USB?? Any suggestions, before I re-install and/or exchange the motherboard?
