SHARING USB WEB CAM?
CAN YOU SHARE A USB WEB CAM?? IF SO WHAT SOFTWARE SHOULD I GET TO DO SO??
THE REASON I ASK IS BECAUSE I WORK IN A COMPUTER STORE AND SOMETIMES DON'T KNOW THAT THERE ARE CUSTOMERS AT THE FRONT DESK.. SO WE WERE GOING TO HOOK UP A WEB CAM TO OUR FRONT DESK COMPUTER TO WE CAN MONITOR IT FROM THE BACK ROOM TO SEE WHEN SOME ONE COMES IN THE STORE.. PLEASE HELP!!

Use camera 1-usb camera 2-lpt ports
SAVE YOUR SELF SOME HEAD SPINNING
Just buy a B/W camera w/12 monitor for $199

Sorry, after re-reading, never mind i thought you were wanting to hook two cams up. I used PCanywere, I used this to monitor my parents home when they were on vacation. PCanywere can be used in a network environment, works good. Install Host on the computer with camera, Install remote on the other computer.$89.00 smacks and your set.

Using pcAnywhere is a great idea, but WinVNC is free. I've found that pcanywhere seems to work faster over a dial-up connection, but if the computer that you need to remotely operate is on your LAN then VNC will work great. Get it here:
