does any one know where I can get drivers for a rtl8201cl network adapter for windows xp pro
Welcome to Windrivers mbrecher
This is usually a chip on the motherboard rather than a separate card... what motherboard or brand of computer and model number do you have?
a HP a1547c

go here and put in your serial number and it will show you all the downloads for your machine.
Can anyone help me find the right ethernet drivers? I'm coming off a clean wipe and reinstall of Win XP Pro on a Powerspec 6340. It has an MS-7119 motherboard, including an integrated RealTek RTL8201C(L?) 10/100 Ethernet card. I've tried a variety of google searches with no success and the Powerspec site gives me the drivers for the Realtek 8100 series, which don't work (i.e. I get the Code 10 "device won't start" message). I would love some help...
Thanks very much.

click here for your motherboard To the left of the picture, click download.
Scroll down and click on the orange floppy disk picture to download drivers then either use the live update or put MS-7119 in the bottom right search box. The click on the downloads tab and then driver and you should end up here and you can download the correct driver for your onboard network card.

Enter 6340 in the BLUE box at the bottom - voila'.

I found it. It is on HP's website. I didn't look deep enough. :p
Well I will add to this thread.
Looking for rtl8201cl 10/100 lan driver also, for a m2gt3-ptd motherboard.
Welcome to Windrivers loiq
This is a jetway motherboard Click the link on the left for the drivers. The ethernet driver should be part of the chipset drivers.
This is the spec which says it's a Realtek RTL 8201CL 10 / 100 PCI LAN PHY unfortunately, Realtek don't supply a reference driver for it
So if the chipset driver doesn't provide you with ethernet, post again.
Need help here too,
I have A6685L HP desktop. After I installed windows vista SP1 (second time i tried vista without SP1), then I did install chipset driver from HP website, but there is the driver for ethernet controller missing. I have checked for the detail of the missing driver, and I found out that it is RTL8201CL too.
Now I have no where to look for, and can't connect to internet without the driver. Thank you in advance.
Welcome to Windrivers sat
was it this you downloaded?
hi NooNoo,
yes it was. And it didn't work for me. too bad :(
What does device manager show?
it says
the drivers for this device are not installed. (code28)
thanks OMGmissinglink,
i did install the nvidia chipset drivers, and it installed smoothly and the process was perfectly completed. but still, there is no LAN drivers installed after the rest of chipset drivers installed.
i wish i could manage to find it. :(
have an online chat with hp they should be able to point you to the right download.
Thank you very much, NooNoo
i tried to get into a chat with hp support, which was a failure, no agent available for me.
Now i'm going to try your link OMGmissinglink, thank you guys again for your help.
:)
OMG's link should work fine, it's for a different but similar computer. As long as the hardware is the same, it should work. If not post again, we will have another look.
Hi.
I have a Compaq Presario SR2013WM that i have reboot today with Windows XP FRENCH and i can't find the driver to install my internet card.
Someone help me please.
Welcome to Windrivers lvladdlvlax
By internet card, do you mean ethernet, usb dongle, modem or something else?
Have you done all the windows updates so that you are using Service Pack 3?
Hello, I was looking for the drivers for my RTL8201CL realtek 10/100m ethernet adapter. I have and Hp m1160n with an Asus K8s-la. The problem is I have vista installed and i don't wish to switch to xp.
Welcome to Windrivers! Per Realtek's site:
# Q9: Why don't I find RTL8201x driver on the website?
A9:
RTL8201, RTL8201BL, RTL8201CL, RTL8201CP, RTL8201N and RTL8211B(L) are all PHYceiver. That is a driverless hardware device. Software driver are relative to Network controller ( MAC ) which is integrated into chipset in such case mostly. Please contact your mother board maker or chipset manufacturer to obtain proper driver support.
Since, I don't know of any manufacturer offering Vista support for your chipset, I think you're in the market for a new NIC.
Quite often Vista will accept XP drivers if you use device manage, click update driver and then browse to the extracted driver files. Sometimes you can use application compatibility to install them too...right click on the setup file and cick on compatibility, then set it for xp sp2 and run as adminstrator. Then apply and close the properties, now double click the file and cross your fingers.
So... I have a asus k8s-la (salmon) mobo and just installed windows 7 on it, x86 professional. Everything works good... except the two realtek devices. One of these is the seemingly notorious rtl8201cl phy ethernet device. I assumed I needed to get the SiS drivers, but when I tried to run the install on it, it gives me "no sis191/190 network devices" error. Am I wrong to assume I need the SiS chipset drivers, or is something else tripping me up? Thanks in advance.
From the SiS site: http://www.sis.com/download/download....php?id=155946
"SiS191/190 Glan logo driver package
File Name sgl207.zip
Version v 2.07
Release Date 2008-10-02
Support Products
File Size 5,066KB
Support OS Windows Server 2003 , Windows 98 , Windows XP , Windows 2000 , Windows ME , Windows Vista Basic/Premium , Windows Server 2003 64-Bit Version , Windows XP 64-Bit Edition ,"
They obviously have updated the originals a number of times to get to Rev. 2.07.
The liklihood of getting 2.08 to add W7 is probably low.
You might be better off looking for a W7 NIC add-in card. (although I note that the supported OS's end with an apostraphe!)
*sigh* Figured that'd be the case. Those were the drivers I tried to install last night that wouldn't work. Guess it might be time to do some newegg shopping...
RTL8201 dos drivers for an xp pro advent 4211 notebook
My research finds that the 4211 Advent is essentially an MSI Wind with the N270 cpu, model U120 or U120H.
Compare your specs with that and if satisfied the drivers are here (be sure to scroll down half a page);
