thay say i am currently using a "Beta Retail" version of Its sound card driver . Is there a Direct X 9.0 compliant, "Final Retail" version of the sound card driver

If that doesn't give you satisfaction you can also go to the card's manufacturer's website. That particular chipset is also compatible with High-Density RAM which sells for about half the cost of standard RAM. So you can get some more if you need it.

That 'particular chipset' contains the infamous ac97 'soundcard' built in, that's what he wants the correct driver for, he might also need the SIS chipset patch to get windoze to recognise it(the ac97 chip) properly.... ;)
It hs to do with the fact that I was trying to save the customer some money. Granted, the advice was unasked for, but who cares when you're saving money....:DQuote:
