ASUS a7v133 Motherboard
Any one know anything about this mobo.
Good/bad points |
Good, stable board. Have used hundreds in builds. Only remember 1 RMA.
|
What about the ASUS a7m266 is this one better
|
More expensive with the DDR slots, but have used those as well. Stable and fast.
|
I used those in builds one time as well. Good boards even though that model is nearly a year old. But with a bios flash, it will support athlon xp cpu's. The onboard promise ide controller is a great feature as well.
Only downside part, it uses the older via kt133a chipset and only supports sdram, no ddr. |
Are the Asus a7's generally good. I'm after one with DDR Ram

Early boards had probs with ATI v/cards ,,,but fixed now. 1009 bios latest supports xp and morgan (duron) and ATA133 h/drives. PLUS the board hold DIMMS and DDR (not at the same time)so u can use your dimms ,,,untill u sell em.. although the board is quite wide (check measurments) have a look at www.scan.co.uk ,,,,daily offers ,,,u might just find a bargain. freddy |
