Cannot open R:\620.gho ,,,ok ,there is a problemsome where ,,the book up autoexec.bat has configured the device as drive r:
if you leave the proggy , and come to a dos prompt ,,are you at r: ,,? or if u are not , can you access drive r:
secondly ,
output A:\ghosterr.TXT ,it is trying to give you a txt file (written reason) for failing ,,,and in its owncryptic way ,,,because you cannot write to a cd , and the h/drive might be corrupt , the only place it can do this is to your floppy drive, put a floppy disk in the drive and see what it writes ,
from your cd , type ghostpe , or look in the directories for ghostpe , and run the proggy ,,,,wander around with the mouse and find 620.gho , and go for it,
if you are adament on the "Cannot open R:\620.gho" then it is possible that you have a dirty cdrom or a dirty drive
Here is what you do.
- Unplug your PC
- Put it in a box
- Get out your phone book
- Find the nearest local repair shop
- Get an Estimate
- Let them fix it.
Do what now?? :D

Please answer these questions and I will try my best to help.
- Do you have the instructions for the system restore?
- Are you sure the System Restore Disk you are Using belongs to the Machine you have.
- When you Turn the machine on with the restore disk in the drive. Does the Machine Start Windows XP?
The solution to this issue is to disconnect the DVD rom from the machine.
1. Remove the ribbon cable going into the back DVD drive
2. Remove the ribbon cable going into the back of the CD drive
3. Plug the end of the ribbon cable that was previously in the DVD drive into the CD.
Check the bios for the boot order if it won't boot from the CD.
Off you go!
