I've checked my system and realise that I was using a 40 wire cable (shame on me),I was conviced that in the new systems all cables were 80 wire ....I got one 80 wire cable and I waiting for another...

About the cables I'm going to check that out ,I'm using the ones that came with the HD and the drives.I think they are 80 wire ata cable but I can't be sure .In that case what should I do NooNoo?...

The cd's I'm using now say 52x.

maybe I was tricked by advertising,it was long time without buying this kind of hardware ,my previous was an 4x ..... but I might continue my quest for for speed...

The same thing ,meanwhile I'll try do take off the others IDE periferics and just leave the HD and the cd recorder .

I've just bought an LG HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8481B recorder that was suposed to record at 48x,I've seen some test that say that the recording time of a full cd was around +\- 3...

I 've got the logitech cordless working fine with windows XP ,without needing to use the software that came along ,I just configured it on the control panel -mouse .Happy new year to everyone.
