try changing to a 5X speed cd.
try installing intel ide drivers if the mainboard is intel chip based.

ntldr (ithout any extension).
the file must be at least 1 byte long (space)

i think that your board is an at and not an atx type.
you need a cold boot to turn the hard disk on.
try replacing operating system to win95, or replacing mainboard
