The CD-ROM works perfectly well, in a DOS mode/window. The device is listed as A-OK in device manager.
Current drivers are present and accounted for. The drive is a base mitsumi 24x.

There are two hard drives in the system, a ZIP internal, and the cd-rom. All of which have worked fine up until recently when the Cd-Rom disappeared. Whacky.

Tried all those great suggestions, nada. CD-Rom is now master, HD is slave. Still no CD shown, although the device is there. Nothing in the autoexec.bat or anything else... whacky I tell ya.
