If you have a 90% failure rate that should tell you it's more than likely hardware or a conflict. I have never had a problem with Nero unlike Easy CD Creator. Nero also will burn 5.1 while Adaptec...

Norton went from "best antivirus proggy" on our preventive maintenance list to top on our crap list. When 2003 first came out it would atleast detect viruses. The crap they have out now....the...

I haven't tried that...i'll have to now. That would be a good one for my trip to Dauphin Island. Nothing like fishing with a Vodka buzz! Beach fishing that is. I read a survey a while back and...

The only thing I would suggest is a bottle of Grey Goose Vodka...the best vodka you can get. As far as beer goes...Yuengling Lager is my personal fav.

SSE3 made a very small increase...less then 1% and I believe more like 0.3% performance increase. As mentioned...the cost is high due to it being an FX...which has an unlocked multiplier. The games...

They aren't as fast as the FX57 however. If you wanna game and encode in the background...go dual core. If you wanna game only ... FX57.

That's the whole point of buyin the FX processors....they have an unlocked multiplier vs. the locked multipliers on the other A64's.

The monitor was likely going bad. If it was just the resolution it wouldn't go blank...but would overlay the picture on top of itself. If the refresh was too high it would likely look fuzzy also.

If it's .13 Micron then I wouldn't even bother with it...unless you have a REALLY KILLER cooling system. If you don't already then you may as well just upgrade...a good cooler would cost almost as...

If you plan on running a dual core chip you will have no choice but to go 939. The dual channel isn't that big of a deal with A64's. The bigger deal with memory is to get low latency....like...

AVG is free for home use and will catch more than NAV. I don't think the ISP should provide firewall/antivirus. If they did...that would take away money from the techs. Antivirus is a separate...
