Sircam32 wiped out one of our computers. I restored it and found out that a directory contained vital info. Has anyone had this kind of experience and if so what do you recommend.
Thanks,

I have had this experience with Cloning.
We cloned over 12 machines that were separate from the main domain. They all had NT4 cloned on them. What I fear, since I didn't use the Symantec Console...

Let me think this thru:
1.Since all your computers had the name at one time, the sys is confus-ed, let's try and fix it.
2.Make sure your ip's are proper, then make them join a workgroup. Now...

I remember someone pointing out a simple fact, it goes like this:

My recommendation is do self-study and hammer it out in 1 month or less. This will mean spending about 4 to 5 hrs. a day, but it will start to flow in your mind. Taking a college class is like...

I'm gonna take a stab at this one. Does your hardware support ACPI power saving? Try disabling it in the BIOS and OS. <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0">

What I would do is yank all of the sound drivers from the D.M. then reboot. If W2K tries to install its own drivers (remove them again and use the updated sound drivers, from the website...

I have the book by Lammle and the Sybex E-Trainer. They are the best. They have taught me more than a Cisco College class (I'm taking) ever has. I'm taking the test on Monday. Get the book and...

By the way, I recommend Sybex study material for anything and everything (including cooking if there is one). The material I received in class was of course directed towards the exam, but I have...
