NooNoo, thanks for your help. Is there a known issue between WinMe and 'wdm' drivers?
And do you know where I can get the 98 vxd set? I'd be willing to give that a try.

Daffy, it is enabled in the bios.
Confus-ed, sorry. A bang is a term for an error icon in device manager, either a question mark or an exclamation point. In this case, it's an exclamation point....

Hi all, this is my first post at Windrivers.
I'm trying to get sound working on a friend's PC. here are some specs
IBM Netvista 2276
P3 600 mhz
64.0 mb ram
WinME
intel 810 chipset
