The problem occurs regardless of the location of the files, i also tested with a file in a path without spaces (ex:c:\temp\bug.xls). I've tried searching the Ms Database, but keywords aren't obvious...

Icon locations only mess up because Xp isn't intended to use user-set resolutions. 98 works fine, 2k works fine
(of course i COULD reformat to win2k, but that wouldn't be working on the issue)...
