Doug Is a MVP yes.
Ignore the alert its caused by NAV script blocking, all it is alerting you to is the registry writes the script performs.
As above you can do it manually if you prefer.

Check the system uptime value in msconfig and do some math. That would work :)

Why do you say that? Many many good reason to turn the messenger service off this is now yet another one of them.
