I am not sure what part was moved to cause it to happen in the other machine.

As I have said I have swapped all parts between both machines. The mouse is ps/2. I am using a brand new keyboard there is nothing stuck with the keys.

Is it normal for the prompt to wait a couple of sec before it starts to copy from a CDR disk. I have seen and issue were iomega has somewhat of a patch but I believe it is a reissued via ide bus...
