This how I did it.
1.Put the computer in safe mode with networking.
2.Go to www.housecall.trendmicro.com.
3.scan and delete
XP only.

Boot to an XP cd and go to the repair console. Type in disable mup. Then type in fixboot, after that fixmbr. When those things are done, type in chkdsk. It should boot after that.

Shut down and disable windows messenger. It's in the services.

Try going to IE tools, Internet Options, Settings, and then view objects. Remove anything related to Yahoo (Yinstaller, Yadd, etc...) along with any other entry that says anything other than...
