This sounds like the temporary and original file being saved on the desktop. The temporary file can be safely deleted as far as i am aware. I'd suggest saving in My Documents - these temporary files...

Changed and upgraded the PSU.
Upgraded the Thermal paste and upgraded the CPU heat sink and fan.
Added case fan to remove heat.
