I see there is a mention of Windows 95 in client support which I don't understand but yet it is not listed under operating systems. So it is assumed that SQL 2000 isn't compatable with Windows 95.

I went on the Microsoft/SQL homepage but if you look at it, it isn't clear whether Windows 95 can be a system requirement to install SQL Server 2000.

The cd-rom drive was manufactured in July 1998. I haven't used a cleaning cd. Could it need cleaning? If I can see the files and folders on the cd then what else could be the problem?
