I couldn't agree more. Having 2 different AV's and firewalls on just one machine can wreak havoc, not sure what effect that would have on a network over time...and I'll admit I am not the fan of...

run chkdsk c: /f /r from a cmd prompt first, then try the defrag process again.

Got a box here that had video probs. Replaced the card and changed the bios settings, so there is video. Tried a repair install that upon reboot just hangs at a blank screen. Reboot gives me a XP...

Got an old clunker here, IBM Aptiva 2137 E26 or 2137 5xx depending where you look on the box. It has an Acer bios. Mobo is a V58XA. All the links I've found are dead...not a big surprise! I can find...

Got an HP dv2110rs laptop 'running' XP Media Center. The owner screwed with the partitions, so when I boot to an XP disk and go into the Recovery Console as Admin I get these installations to choose...
