I just plugged in the sys fan on the board as it was not connted and as soon as I hit the power switch I heard a pop and turn the PC off

Yes i have there are 2 HDMI options PC and AV when I set it to PC and the screen goes off or I switch it off it goes to the AV option and the screen gets messed up again.

Well i got the resolution up from the ati catalyst software and the monitor was not working on DVI so I just unpluged its power and cables and plugged them back in and it worked fine.

The games and movies display fine but the windows desktop and other aalications and not clear the screen is kind of fuzzy...
