There are several raid configs that stripe volumes over drives to improve speed. If it's in your budget choose scsi as it works faster with or without raid.

Abit kt7a with or without raid is the best board out there for AMD. Asus is supposed to release a new board that is supposed to be comparable. For now at least Abit is on top.

It is possible that your kerberos authentication isn't working so it defaults to the ntlm for nt and of course there is no nt domain to authenticate.

When you try to log on click options and log onto appears use the drop down to select the 2k domain not the net domain.

Try a third party software like surf control. I use this on the network to limit or even disable access.

You have a service or driver not shutting down. Try using task manager to manually stop apps one at a time and try to shutdown.Trial and error will show which one is at fault.
