I'm new to setting up wireless networking, so I'm sure this will be easily answered.
The install I'm working on requires me to install a Panasonic digital copier/printer (DP-3510) on an existing...

I've disabled all Norton utils @ startup. Didn't have any effect on problem. I'll have to check on the make/model of the modem when I get home.

No, no file sharing, PC is totally stand alone. I will try disabling Norton tonite. As far as running an on-line Trojan scan, is House Call preferred?

Standard PS2 mouse and KB. Mouse is Deisner and KB is Microsoft.
I have Norton Utilities enabled. But it's never been a problem before. I will disable and see if it makes a difference.

Gotta a new wierd prob. KB and mouse work fine in everything except when I'm online. Then I get a delayed reaction from both KB and mouse when I'm filling out forms and checking boxes, but only...

My vote goes for Gator and AOL.
Seems we've left out Time manager and Date Manager.
I have no use for these little utilities

Win2K and NT use Windows TCP/IP printing service to create virtual print ports based on the devices IP address and device name. Previuos posts are correct in that you need a third party LPR Port...

I went to get ink for my Lexmark and it cost more than the original unit. If you noticed, a new Lexmark has startup cartridges that have a reduced yield, so your first set runs out pretty quick. ...

Just checkin out how Windrivers folks keep their HDD's maintained and how often you do it. Me personally, I like to run Disc Cleanup, Scan Disk and Defrag about once a month. But I don't download a...

Tons of good AMD cooler threads in the AMD topic area. Check em out. Personally, I prefer the Global Win coolers on AMD. Work great. You may also want to check into some case fan tips in that...

Sounds to me like your IDE controller on the MOBO went post toastie. Try booting your HDD from the secondary IDE port. Xeno's right, that Wipe s/w works great. That may work, too.

Agreed. Use GB boards w/ AMD's all the time. No problems. Either w/ the AMD chipset or Via chipset, they both are very solid. When I have a problem, I'll try something else! Until then, I'm...

Also, Slot 1 mobos tend to have connection problems where they plug into the slot, esp if you have no lock down brackets. Had thiws problem recently, behaved the same way. It seemed as though the...

Thanks 4nik. I'm running SP-1 right now on FAT32. Everything's good except for the button problem mentioned above. Now that I've gotten used to it, I'll probably reload with NTFS this week and try...

Been running FAT32 for few couple days now. I dropped another 128mb ram in to bring it to 192mb. Machine runs very well. Only problem I have found is that once Win2k boots, my remote power and...

Sounds like your drives are ok. Have you tried a different stick of memory? I would lean towards that or your video card at this point. Obviuosly it's not your mobo, since that's been replaced. ...

You need only to apply a small amount of grease on the small rectangular processor itself, not the entire chip. Grease only needs to be where the fan comes in contact with the chip. Too much grease...

Only thing I would do was make sure I install DDR ram. Why buy the mobo and proc and bog it down w/ PC133 ram? Open that bad boy up and let her run, man. DDR's cheap and AMD bus speed takes...

Need more info. Do you have fans? If so, unplug all your drives from the board side, leave your memory, processor, video and power supply intact. Try it again. If your machine doesn't post,...
