If it's just for theater, you could use a DVD decoder such as a Real Hollywood with SVGA.

I'd make sure that there isn't any 'extra' programs running in the systray.

I just wait till the point that playing games is like watching a slide show. I finaly swapped out my original Canopus for a Geforce2. Of course I had to swap out the box and everything in it as well....

No goatee but I do have an odd hair growing out of my shoulder, I named it Billy. I think it's the source of my mojo. Good things have happened since it's appearance. :p

I do have the fan set up to vary speed acording to CPU temp. I wouldn't think it would be a problem to make it a constant speed and move the power that feeds the fan from the MB to the power supply...

I recently put together a box and I'm not sure if I actually have a problem or not. Occasionaly the motherboard monitor shows the CPU surface temp spike from 53c to off the scale 200+c and then back....
