No bios wasn't detecting so i changed the cable works fine I guess it was a faulty cable. :thumbs:

Checked the jumper it's set correctly and yes i just installed it.

It's an internal Sony- DRU710A and im running windows XP. The slave is a LG it's detecting it fine, and the patch or bug fix or somthing was either from windows or hp it was some kind of bug that...

I'm pretty sure its a bug cause on my last comp I had to download a patch and it fixed it I just can't find the patch.

Its a brand new sony dru-710A and the darn thing wont stay shut.....as soon as I put somthing in it the thing opens right back up..........will the problems ever end?!? What would cause this?
