It's possible that the onboard video is shot. Did you make sure that the onboard video is enabled in the bios? If it's enabled....you may be stuck with using a pci video card.

That's why it's not working....it doesn't know the tv can support higher resolutions. You'll get much better support for that kind of stuff from windows XP.

Are you using dvd-r discs....they are compatible with more players than the dvd+r. You could also try reloading your burning software.

Seagates here too....they're known for they speed and reliability especially in servers..not to mention the desktop drives now come with a 5 year warranty. You can't beat that.

Oh I see, you're wanting to disable the little picture object that windows uses to show what program that particular file is associated with. As far as I know....there is no way to turn that off.
