Don't forget however that lcd's have a native resolution and that anytime you display at a different resolution then the lcd has to emulate the resolution... which of course can lead to errors or...

thanks I'll check into that.... avg was run from safemode and was the latest.... it does "heal" it but it comes back the next time you boot... I'll check out that utility.... I'll have to wait...

I have a customer that keeps getting this on AVG. it claims to detect it and then heal it. it then comes back. I've used an older version of the public av cd ( as I can't seem to get it to update...

by the way i think you are confussing things a bit as well. wireless doesn't mean internet connection.... in most cases when you use wireless to connect to the internet what you are actually doing...

Well the beeping seems to have stopped after the first boot or two... I ran a test on the keyboard bios and that came back as okay....

After some further testing and alternate os use, it seems the keyboard has an intermittant short of the delete key..... The only way to turn off the keyboard was to unplug it. Though the beeps...

From my understanding, the Vista ulitmate and business OEM editions are downgradable. The question is however, were do you get the xp license # to install xp pro, any one know?

I've seen that before as well.... the drive isn't updating... it loads the fat table and doesn't update.... havent' seen it on a cd though.... use to be a problem with floppies.... whenever I ran...
