Ok.. When you make a shortcut. it places the small arrow over the icon for the program/document when it places the icon for the shortcut. That is normal.

Hotglue is a NO NO
If you are shipping it, use IDE cables with secure ends. (little plastic olders on the connectors) Costs fifty cents more but looks a lot nicer than glue

Well next time you do it.. I'd reccamend 2 PCI cards, not a AGP mix. That can cause problems. Also First/Third PCI slots are better than 1&2.
You can run it anyway, but that combination works...
