It's an old Win3.1 program if I remember right... hit "Ctrl+Alt+Del" and see what all is running, esp. in the registry run section and all. either that, or you might have to just readjust his mouse.

Yes. See if it still reboots when you pull a card. then replace that card, and try another. If so, your power supply is a bit lean. Might want to check into replacing that.

What OS are you using? Win9x can't use 512MB of RAM, and that might be the problem. I've heard of some Athlon chipsets not liking extra RAM as well.

Shouldn't be an issue as far as I know. I haven't heard of any incompatabilities with the Athlon and the ATI cards, but I don't have any hands-on experience with a rig like that.
