Talking getting case off Acer 506DX

Yep, that's all I want to know. How do I get the case off an Acer 506DX notebook. I and another tech looked at this thing for a couple of hours. Something is still holding it together in the rear area under the keyboard. We took the RAM and modem out. We took the little black label off which hid another little screw. There's a thin rubber layer under the keys. Is there something under it we need to remove? All we are trying to do is replace a hard drive. There is a snap off piece between two of the round hinges that hides two screws that hold down the wiring to the screen. Now what?

This is for an Acer 500...it might not work for a 506 but it's worth a shot isn't it?

If Im not mistaken, you remove the hard drive out from the front left side of the laptop, you dont have to take the whole thing apart. Check underneath, there should be one screw, then you can pull the hard drive right out. (or I could be thinking of a different model)

    Glad I could help...

No need to remove the topic, it's better when we see how the problem was resolved
