When you boot from CD, it should have a statement after the BIOS does its thing that says "Press any key to boot from cd". If you don't press a key, it will continue to boot from the HD. If you don't have that option, then set your first boot device to boot from floppy(if you can...may be USB since that is what you are using) and make floppys from <a href="http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q310994" target="_blank">here</a>.
