I was really into the text quests like Infocom produced: the Zork storylines, Planetfall (I even built a 3D model of the environment - I was such a geek ), etc.
The first "3D first-person shooter" (sort of) I played was <a href="http://www.classicgaming.com/vault/roms/appleiiroms.Airheart33325.shtml" target="_blank">Borderbund's Airheart</a>. Anyone else play that?
